How do I register for pre-registration?

After registering an Android product, you can register pre-registration in [Android App Mgmt. > Pre-registration]. For detailed instructions on registering a pre-registration product, please refer to here.


Is binary registration required to register pre-registration?

A binary is not required to proceed with pre-registration. However, please review the following limitations carefully before proceeding:

  • Pre-registration can run for a maximum of 180 days.

  • The age rating is finalized at the time of the pre-registration review request and cannot be changed until the app is released.


Can I run pre-registration on different schedules for each country/region?

In the [Displayed Information] tab of the Pre-registration menu, you can set the pre-registration period for each country/region. Once the settings are completed, you can proceed with pre-registration after submitting a review request for each country/region.


The app release schedule differs by country/region. Are there any precautions?

Even if pre-registration is in progress, once the app is released, pre-registration for the corresponding country/region will automatically close. Ended pre-registrations cannot be restarted, so please manage app releases carefully.

When the app is released, the release notification is automatically scheduled to be sent approximately 72 hours later. If you want to change the release notification send time, please do so in the Release Notification tab.

When the release notification is sent, the app will be automatically installed for applicants only. (For devices that do not support auto-install, this will be replaced with a download completion and installation message.)


The age rating of the app to be released has not been finalized. Can I proceed with pre-registration?

An age rating is required to proceed with pre-registration and can be set in [Common Info > Age Rating]. Once pre-registration starts, the age rating cannot be changed until the app is released, so we recommend proceeding only after the age rating is finalized.

If the age rating is changed after the app is released, pre-registration applicants who are excluded under the new age rating will also be excluded from release notifications and benefits.


Can I stop an ongoing pre-registration?

In the [Displayed Info] tab, you can set pre-registration to Paused for each country/region.

Even in a Paused state, once the pre-registration end date is reached, the status will change to Closed. You can resume pre-registration before it is closed by removing the pause.

In addition, while in a Paused state, you can delete the pre-registration. Please note that deleting pre-registration will reset all pre-registration data and history for the corresponding country/region.


When are release notifications sent to pre-registration applicants?

When the app is released, the release notification is automatically scheduled to be sent approximately 72 hours later. If you want to change the release notification send time, please update it in the Release Notification tab.


Does pre-registration support auto-install when the app is released?

Auto-install is supported only when all of the following conditions are met:

  • Auto-install = Yes is set in the country/region settings under the [Displayed Info] tab.

  • The user agrees to Auto-install when applying for pre-registration.

  • Auto-install is executed when the release notification is sent after the app is released. (On devices that do not support auto-install, this may be replaced with a download completion and installation message.)

  • The user meets the age rating requirements of the released app.

All pre-registrations you submit may be selected for Pre-registration PLUS after review by ONE store. If selected, you can maximize post-launch performance through various benefits.
